What is SEO ?

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in search engines via natural, un-paid, organic search results. The results to be achieved are not only higher rankings but also more indexed pages (benchmarked to a string of desired keywords). Important to know is that SEO is also highly needed when in defensive mode. In other words, one always has to defend its current search rankings as well which makes SEO a must for every website.

In general, the higher ranked on the search results page and the more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine’s users.
