Internet trolls, here’s how they look like

Every site, every forum has its fair share of trolls. People – usually not all that smart – who simply have nothing else to do but being as obnoxious as possible online. A few BBC journalists decided to track down one of those and confront him. Whereas he first tries to avoid the discussion he finally goes into automatic mode. When asked if he thinks about the people he’s hurting online he responds, “Yeah, I think fuck ‘em.”

What this guy didn’t get is that he gave the journalists exactly the ammunition they needed to get him publicly shamed, not only on BBC’s Panorama but also on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, … Or how the social media turned itself on this sod.
