The London-based company TubeRadio.fm has launched a service which lets users create YouTube playlists. Yes, you read it very well, TubeRadio.fm is turning the video sharing website into a music streaming service to organise music videos and share playlists over email, Twitter or Facebook. Here’s what the company itself has to say about its service: “It’s the internet music video player. Think of it as iTunes meets YouTube meets Spotify. It’s absolutely free and there’s nothing to install.”
One wonders why YouTube/Google didn’t come up with this in the first place.
Users can on top add a band’s discography in just one click. While a song is playing, users can access tabs with extra information such as lyrics, artist biographies and suggestions for other albums they may like.
As such users should not directly let it autochoose as TubeRadio.fm gives equal weighting to official video clips, live performances, bootlegs and rare recordings. Good though is that TubeRadio.fm provides links for users to purchase the full album as a CD from Amazon or MP3 download from 7Digital.
